Break Free is the 2nd music video from the UK's number one hiphop group, The 57th Dynasty. Independently released on their Brixton based label at a time when other artists were still submitting demo tapes, Brixton's finest were pioneers pushing the boundaries and challenging the majors for urban music recognition on a level never done before, or since.
Here, Thunda trades verses of upliftment with his brother Dark Troopa (yasim) and 50/50 (carl fearon) over the moving Charlie Parker produced soundscape.
Check for the remix which features a stellar performance by Estelle and etched them another unique place in British music history as vanguard collaborators with the creme de la creme of UK talent, in addition to producing and promoting the 1st ever independent music video "love of hiphop", 1st independent album "Spoken Word" self manufactured and produced quickly snatched up for national/ international distribution, 1st full page feature in the Source Mag, etc etc etc

The We Are Africans concept is the brainchild of JJC aka Skillz formely of the platinum selling group Big Brovaz and his own 419 Squad.
I’ve known Skillz for years, even before they got their record deal, so when he played the beat to me at newBRAN barbers, I told him straight “that’s a hit! and I want a part of it.” And after they produced the single and invited me the video shoot... he made good on his initial word, and invited me on the remix.
The result, the remix that helped solidify the We Are Africans chant as the 2010 anthem for The United States of Africa. The song was even championed during the 2010 World Cup tv slots! “Africans... Awooo!”
From here JJC went on to stylize another spin-off hit by remixing We Are Africans in Nigeria feat. the legendary Kemi Kuti alongside Dagrin, Eldee, DJ Zeez, Kel, Ay.com, Moe Money & Ragga Remi.

The reward, no less than x2 nomination nods at the 2010 Nigerian Entertainment Awards held in NYC.
best international artist & best international producer of the year! And what a year it’s been thus far.
VH1 journeys with Paradise The Prolific One through the heart of Brixton, South London, exploring culture, politics, music and the state of things to come during this 4-part advert. The British born/NYC raised poet/lyricist gives viewers a raw uncompromising spirited analyst of the state of UK affairs.
The self professed 'ambassador for the youts' chalked up a triumphant feat as this ad series became a favourite across the Viacom -- International Network and earned the 57th Dynasty a nod to present an award at the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards, but not before hosting an entire weekend devoted to Dr Dre and Eminem and incorporating an IDENT for the "Free Your Mind Award" into their own Byte Size series, The World According to 57th Dynasty.
This commercial ad is part of VH1's Music First series and features cameo appearances by band members 50/50 [RIP], Thunda and Dark Troopa.

REVOLUTION [CHANGE IS GONNA COME] features MTV Base Lounge winner, vo-soul-calyst Black-Butterfly joining the ranks of TGSMP.
“...the London-born, New York-raised emcee eloquently highlight[s] the shortcomings of today's mainstream Hip-Hop over a surprisingly mellow blend of shimmering keys and gentle guitars. Targeting one-dimensional thugged-out emcees and the corporate entities that continue to promote their empty messages, Paradise's mission to stop listeners from being blinded by bling, bitches and bullets is given further credibility by his been-there-done-that-now-learn-from-my-mistakes approach." -- Blues & Soul Mag
Black Butterfly [Aminata Koya] appears courtesy of TGSMP and lends to this "beautifully spectral and inspirational hip hop..." -- DJ Mag
13 Years On started out as a freestyle by Rob Swift-It-Major, but swiftly grew into a bonafide hit over Bonecrusher’s anthem ‘I Aint Never Scared.’
Momentum dictated that we release this immediately as a dub plate special... and that we did. We even managed to tie in the concept with actual footage and audio from an episode of Trisha Goddard’s Talk Show where she was dealing with trouble teens and parenting. This was another TGSMP project blazing airwaves with an edutainment theme.
Swift-It-Major explores adolescence, teen pregnancy, kidnappings, gun crime, incarceration and abortion with a spicy peppering of life-on-road-true-talk.

THE VIDEO THAT STARTED IT ALL!
Love of Hiphop is the 1st ever independent urban UK music video. This video inspired not just a nation, but an entire generation! LoHH's release catapulted the 57th Dynasty to the forefront of the UK music scene and made them the premier British Rap Group.
The name 57th Dynasty would become synonymous with UK Hiphop and eventually crowned Best Hiphop Act and Best UK Act Mobo Nominees up against Jay-Z.
